Q: Could tingling feet be the only symptom of diabetes?
or would there be other symptoms with it?

Please don’t say, “try yahoo or google pictures” because I already did.
A: Check the source. It has a few.
Also, try a Google image search for “diabetes skin.” I found a lot of pictures that way. Maybe your search terms were too complicated.
Q: Are fainting and weak spells symptoms of diabetes?
Along with numbness? If not, what could this be a symptom of?
Also occasional rushing heart-rate.
A: HI Ra M
Here are some ideas to heal the issue.
Cause
It is usually caused decreased flow of blood to the brain. It can also be caused by arrhythmia (abnormal change in the beating of the heart), or may be due to heat exhaustion associated with excessive fluid loss, weakness, fatigue, anxiety, drenching sweats, and fainting.
Low blood sugar, low blood pressure (hypotension), allergies, anemia, and nutrient deficiencies such as magnesium and iron can all cause or contribute to fainting. If fainting spells are recurring, all of these factors should be screened for and, if present, addressed.
Note: Should you feel faint, sit down and put your head between your knees until you feel better. Also be sure to breathe fresh air.
Caution: Recurring fainting spells, as well as fainting caused by no discernible reason, require the immediate attention of a physician or other health expert.

Natural Cures
Aromatherapy: Peppermint, neroli, basil, lavender, rosemary, or black pepper placed under the nose of a fainting victim can help speed a return to full consciousness.
Diet: Eating an organic, whole foods diet that includes healthy supplies of protein foods, and drinking plenty of pure, filtered water can help to prevent fainting.
Flower Essences: Apply Rescue Remedy® topically to the lips of the fainting victim to help him or her recover.

Q: Im a 13 year old girl and Im experiencing symptoms of diabetes. What are my chances of having it?
Ive been urinating a lot, I shake sometimes, Im always hungry and thirsty, and when I get up after laying down for a few minutes, I cant see. I feel like im floating and I cant tell where I am for about 15 seconds. What are my chances of having it? (Im not overweight but I don’t exercise too often)
A: i got diabeties when i was ur age some of the symptoms u hav mentions could b to do with diabeties however they could b to do with ur age
if ur urinating shortly after drinking liquids and drinking lots of liquids tht is a symptom of diabeties
if you shake after not eating for a long period of time tht could b a symptom of diabeties this symptom is the most serious because if u shake/get agitated/tired/angy/dizzy/ after not eating for a long period of time it could mean that your blood glucose level is low if this happens frequently u should go to a doctor and ask him/her to test u they will either do a blood or urine test and they should know if u r diabetic from that test if u r u’ll b sent to hospital for a few hours nd they’ll tell u all about it and give u the medication u need
hope this helps
Q: What symptoms of diabetes did you have?
Could you give me some examples?
When a person says frequent urination do they mean once and hour or what?
A: for me it was EVERY hour, even in the middle of the night. before i was diagnosed i created a cycle of going to the bathroom and drinking water every hour. it just kept going on. i also felt really weak and i lost 15 pounds.
Q: what are the difference in symptoms for Diabetes and hypoglycemia?
examples of a lot of symptoms would be helpful thanks.
A: Diabetes(high blood sugar) and hypoglycemia(low blood sugar) can both exhibit the same immediate symptoms because in some ways they are alike. With diabetes, even though the sugar in the blood is high, the cells are not able to use the energy, in hypoglycemia, the blood sugar is low, so again, the cells are not getting enough energy. Similiar immediate symptoms, tiredness, inability to concentrate, blurred vision, dizziness, unconsciousness, cold sweats, chills, faintiness. With low blood sugar, these will disappear when you eat something, but not in diabetes. In diabetes, you may get excessive thirst even though your fluid intake is at or above normal. Additionally, cuts may not heal quickly or at all, you have susceptibility or increased susceptibility to skin infections(pimples, boils) ,nerve damage(pain, numbness, tingling, loss of function) in affected areas, skin ulcers/pressure sores, and of course damage to the internal organs. You need to have your fasting blood glucose tested to determine your condition.
Q: What are some symptoms of diabetes?
I have expeienced increasd urination as of late. I have been told that this may be a sign of diabetes.
A: The best online source for researching medical symptoms is www.webmd.com
Give it a try. It should have a lot of info about diabetes.
Q: Are these symptoms of diabetes or low iron?
My eyes have started dialating twice in the past 3 days and I almost feel like I am going to black out. I have had frequent urination and severe headaches. I have been extremely tired and have a hard time concentrating even though I am going to bed and getting atleast 8 hours of sleep. Please help. I hate feeling like this!
Also, is this something that I can have checked at the ER? My doctor is on vacation.
A: These can be signs of several things…all that need the attention of a doctor asap. Going to the ER is not really necessary. I would wait for your doctor to make sure you get a complete work up and the tests he feels are most important to your symptoms. You don’t always get that at the ER. Your doctor knows your history and many things get over looked in the ER. Mean time, stay away from a lot of sugar and high carb foods, stay hydrated (keep away from caffeine) and get plenty of rest. See if you can go ahead and make an appointment with your doctor for as soon as he gets back from vacation.

A: You answered your question with your next to last sentence. You were dehydrated. Before sports and during and on hot days, its, fluids, fluids, fluids, avoid caffeine, as in soda, tea and coffee. Be safe!

Q: what are some symptoms of diabetes?
I am going through menopause, my hot flashes are more like 3 hours heat waves. I have to have something to drink constantly. I have black spots on both of my big toe nails, and I didn’t do anything to them. What is this?
A: Symptoms of diabetes are an unquenchable thirst, needing to pee frequently, losing weight, tiredness, lack of energy.
Not sure if your symptoms point to diabetes though. Why not get checked out at the doctors. They will be able to put your mind at rest.
Q: What are the symptoms of diabetes other than peeing too often?
A: The most common symptoms include: frequent urination, increased thirst and sometimes increased appetite.
Other signs and symptoms include: blurry vision, fatigue, dry skin, nausea and wounds that take longer to heal….
these symptoms are non-specific (meaning if you have these symptoms, it doesn’t necessarily mean you have diabetes). You should see your doctor and get a simple blood test to make sure.
If you have really serious diabetes that goes untreated for a long time, you can develop nerve damage….numbness in your arms and legs (which can lead to lesions or sores b/c you dont feel it when you hurt yourself)….sometimes in really serious cases, people have had to have their feet or toes ampuated. but this is only in really serious cases. Long-term untreated diabetes can also lead to kidney problems, and vision problems. So check with your doctor!!
Symptoms of low blood sugar = shaking, sweating, dizziness, hunger, anxiousness, headache, irritability
Low blood sugar usually occurs if you are taking diabetes medication and you haven’t eaten anything recently, so your blood sugar drops too low…….you probably won’t have these symptoms unless you are already taking diabetes medications.
Q: Does this sound like possible symptoms of diabetes?
Just a 3 days ago i started to urinate a lot maybe like 6 times a day but it only happens in the day time I can sleep throughout the night without going to the bathroom. And my stomach is grueling and very empty as well. But I really don’t feel like eating anything. I don’t get thirsty or feel less energetic I feel fine just I don’t like peeing a lot and feeling hungry. What do you think?
Thanks in advance!
A: While it is true that increased urination is a sign of diabetes that means super duper excessive but that has to also have super duper excessive thirst to go with it too. Doesn’t sound like diabetes at all.
Q: What are the symptoms of diabetes? Can the effects be life- threatening and can they be reversed?
A: Some symptoms of diabetes include:
Frequent urination
Excessive thirst
Extreme hunger
Unusual weight loss
Increased fatigue
Irritability
Blurry vision
If you have one or more of these diabetes symptoms, see your doctor right away.
Diabetes can also cause or contribute to frequent fungal infections, bladder infections, impotence, Carpel Tunnel Syndrome, loss of feeling or pins and needles in hands or feet, loss of vision, or changes in vision, headaches, extreme fatigue, and many other problems including heart desease, high blood pressure, and kidney desease.
The longer it goes untreated, the greater the damage to your body. It can cause kidney damage and eventually kidney failure, heart desease, vision loss and even blindness, nerve problems leading to digestion problems, and loss of sensation, and even infections and gangrene, which can lead to amputations.
IF you have diabetes and ignore it, it will eventually kill you, or the complications will get you. Untreated diabetes IS a killer. It is a serious, life threatening desease, with no cure.
The best hope is to get diagnosed as quickly as possible, and change your diet (reduce carbs, eat healtheir), get more exercise, and take medications which may include insulin.
The sooner its controlled, the less it damages your body and the less complications you’ll have. It will also reduce the risk of an early death from stroke or heart desease related to diabetes.
It can be treated and controlled, but not cured. The effects are definitely life threatening when it remains untreated or poorly controlled. Some damage cannot be reversed, while other areas may show some improvement.
take the risk assessment test here

If you suspect you have diabetes, tell your doctor your symptoms, and ask for a glucose tolerance test, and an HbA1c test.
If you are borderline diabetic, the time to get started on treatment is now.
If you are diabetic it is vital to get help now.
In other words, do NOT delay in seeking medical attention if you have any of the symptoms.
